What is Immunotherapy?

Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy, commonly referred to as immuno-oncology, is a treatment that strengthens the immune system to help the body to fight cancer. Immunotherapy has the power to strengthen the immune system to help with cancer cell elimination, instruct the immune system to recognize and eliminate specific cancer cells, and provide the body with substances to enhance the immune response.
Dendritic Cell Therapy, a form of immunotherapy that strengthens the immune system to combat cancer. With the aid of so-called “killer cells,” dendritic cells can identify and reveal cancerous cells before they proliferate and cause more harm to the body.

Individualized vaccination of AML patients in remission is associated with induction of antileukemia immunity and prolonged remissions

Before and after vaccination

Individualized vaccination of AML patients in remission is associated with induction of antileukemia immunity and prolonged remissions Contact Us Summary A tailored cancer vaccine was generated in this study, in which patient-derived acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells were fused with autologous dendritic cells, resulting in a hybridoma that potently stimulated wide antitumor responses. The results […]

Immune Response in Patients With Newly Diagnosed Glioblastoma Multiforme Treated With Intranodal Autologous Tumor Lysate-dendritic Cell Vaccination After Radiation Chemotherapy

Survival

Immune Response in Patients With Newly Diagnosed Glioblastoma Multiforme Treated With Intranodal Autologous Tumor Lysate-dendritic Cell Vaccination After Radiation Chemotherapy Contact Us Summary The study investigates how patients with GBM responded to cervical intranodal immunization with autologous tumour lysate-loaded dendritic cells (DCs) after radiation treatment and TMZ. The findings imply that DC immunization in patients […]

Clinical outcome of immunotherapy with dendritic cell vaccine and cytokine‐induced killer cell therapy in hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancer

Overall Survival

Clinical outcome of immunotherapy with dendritic cell vaccine and cytokine‐induced killer cell therapy in hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancer Contact Us Summary The goal of this study was to discover the therapeutic effects of adoptive immunotherapy following dendritic cell (DC) vaccine and cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cell therapy and evaluate its cytotoxicity, survival benefits and quality of […]

Long-Term Feasibility of 13.56 MHz Modulated Electro-Hyperthermia-Based Preoperative Thermoradiochemotherapy in Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer

Survival Rate

Long-Term Feasibility of 13.56 MHz Modulated Electro-Hyperthermia-Based Preoperative Thermoradiochemotherapy in Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer Contact Us Summary This study evaluated the effect of 13.56 MHz modulated electro-hyperthermia (mEHT) boost in neoadjuvant treatment for patients with rectal cancer. The results suggest, mEHT was feasible considering long-term survival. Patients characteristics 60 patients with median age of 59 […]

Autologous Dendritic Cell-Cytokine Induced Killer Cell Immunotherapy Combined with S-1 Plus Cisplatin in Patients with Advanced Gastric Cancer: A Prospective Study

Survival Time

Autologous Dendritic Cell-Cytokine Induced Killer Cell Immunotherapy Combined with S-1 Plus Cisplatin in Patients with Advanced Gastric Cancer: A Prospective Study Contact Us Summary This study investigates the combination of DC-CIK with S-1 plus cisplatin chemotherapy in patients with advanced gastric cancer (AGC). DC–CIK combined with S-1 plus cisplatin provided a favourable PFS and OS […]
