Prostate Cancer

“My prostate cancer diagnosis, at the age of 65, had come as a complete shock as I had not experienced any symptoms. The problem only became apparent after a routine blood test which was then followed by MRI scan and a biopsy. I was given two options of treatment by my urologist, a radical prostatectomy or brachytherapy, no mention of alternative therapies. He suggested a quick decision was necessary as my PSA was increasing and after just a few days of deliberation, I chose the lesser of two evils.

Within two weeks, I was undergoing low-dose rate, (LDR), brachytherapy.

It was just unpleasant and the side-effects manageable but although initial signs were positive, my PSA soon started steadily rising again and there was a strong likelihood of recurrence of the cancer.

My urologist recommended a scan to see if the recurrence site could be treated by external radiation but he didn’t fill me with confidence that it would be any more successful than the brachytherapy and it concerned me that he had no other back-up options, if it wasn’t.

I therefore took it upon myself to see what other options were out there and Googled “alternative therapies”, “immunology”, etc., not really knowing what I was expecting to find.

Amongst the sites that came up was Immucura and I responded to the “Check Your Eligibility” option on their website. Within 24 hours I had had an initial consultation with a Health Coordinator and less than a week later I had a full consultation with a medical panel from Immucura, where it was established that I was an ideal candidate for their alternative cancer therapies.

This had all happened before all of the other enquiries I had sent out, had even replied and I felt totally reassured from the speed and professionalism of Immucura’s response, backed up by a series of case studies, that I was in good hands.

Although it was explained that the alternative cancer therapies could run in parallel with existing treatments, I decided not to pursue the external radiation proposed by the urologist and signed-up straightaway to start the Immucura program ….my view was that I could also go back to traditional treatments later, if I had to.

During the months following the alternative cancer therapies, I was provided diet and lifestyle support plus, once the results of the blood/urine tests had been received, an additional set of personalised supplements were sent out following a further consultation with the doctor. Although I hadn’t been feeling particularly ill prior to the therapy, I did notice a gradual improvement in my general wellbeing as the months progressed and my mental attitude also completely changed as I began to feel that something positive was happening.

This positivity was further enhanced after the second blood/urine test results were received 4 months later, following a blood draw at my home by Immucura’s mobile nurses. The results were very positive and showed an improvement in all areas but, most importantly, my PSA had fallen by 40% in 4 months which apparently indicates that the alternative cancer therapies are doing its job.

At this point in my journey, all I can say regarding the effectiveness of the therapy itself is that it appears to be working and I’ll follow up with another blood/urine test in 4 months to hopefully see continued improvement confirmed. Regarding the administering of the therapy by Immucura, this had been very efficiently delivered and organised. Plus the supplements and lifestyle changes have been seamlessly introduced into my life, with no negative side effects which has enabled me to carry on a normal life. And the ongoing support Immucura has provided, alongside the therapy, has been first class …. timely, professional, caring and reassuring, which has been so important to someone living with a cancer diagnosis and in such stark contrast to my previous experience.

In summary, being able to compare both standard cancer treatment through a health service and my program through Immucura, I would strongly recommend any cancer sufferer to seriously consider this option. The difference between treatments with side effects, disruption to everyday life, support and communication etc., is enormous but more importantly, so it appears are the results.”
